This outlook is published by PAGASA at 12nn of Friday, May 23rd and valid until 12nn of Friday, May 30th.
MAY 24-25: The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect Mindanao, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Palawan, producing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Elsewhere, the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with isolated thunderstorms that may generate short-duration heavy rainfall.
MAY 26-27: As the ITCZ gradually weakens, its residual effects will still bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. The rest of the archipelago will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
MAY 28-30: A frontal system advancing from the north will begin to affect Extreme Northern Luzon, while southwesterly windflow brings rain-bearing clouds to Ilocos Region, Bataan, and Zambales. These areas can expect cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country maintains generally fair weather with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
A Low Pressure Area (LPA) embedded along the ITCZ may form within the outlook period.
This weather outlook will be updated should there be significant changes in the forecast scenario through the issuance of 24-Hour Public Weather Forecasts and Weather Advisories.
