JULY 12-14: The Southwest Monsoon will affect the country, bringing occasional rains over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan. Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, the rest of MIMAROPA, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
JULY 15-17: A Low Pressure Area (LPA) may form over the East Philippine Sea within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). This weather disturbance, located east of Visayas, remains far from the country and is not expected to affect it. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon will persist, bringing occasional rains over Western Visayas and Negros Island Region. Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and MIMAROPA. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
JULY 18: The LPA is forecast to move northwestward toward extreme Northern Luzon. Due to the combined effects of the LPA and the Southwest Monsoon, monsoon rains are expected over Western Visayas, the Negros Island Region, and Palawan. Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
