January 18: The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro. The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Aurora, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with localized rainshowers or thunderstorms.
January 19: The shear line and Northeast Monsoon are expected to weaken; however, the Easterlies, the dominant weather system, will continue to affect the country, particularly the eastern sections. Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Caraga and Davao Region, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
January 20-21: The shear line and Northeast Monsoon will begin to affect the country anew. Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line. Cloudy skies with rains are expected over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. The Easterlies will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga and the Davao Region. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
January 22-24: The shear line and Northeast Monsoon are expected to weaken as the Easterlies continue to affect the country, particularly its eastern sections. Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
No significant threat of tropical cyclone occurrence was noted throughout the forecast period.
