This outlook is published by PAGASA at 12nn of Friday, April 25th and valid until 12nn of Friday, May 2nd.
April 26: the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to affect southern Mindanao, bringing scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Elsewhere in the country, isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are still likely.
April 27-29: a possible Low Pressure Area (LPA) may develop outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), southeast of Mindanao. The LPA is expected to enter the PAR by Tuesday and is embedded within the ITCZ, bringing scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Visayas and Mindanao. Elsewhere, isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms remain likely.
April 30-May 2: the LPA is expected to move in a northwestward direction, traversing Caraga, Central Visayas, Negros Island Region, Sulu Sea, and up to Palawan. This weather disturbance, still embedded within the ITCZ, will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, Luzon will experience generally fair weather, apart from isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
No significant threat of tropical cyclone occurrence is expected throughout the forecast period.
