As NBC Nightly News goes off the air on VMPCRadio on the day Lester Holt will leave the anchor's seat after 10 years and passes over to Tom Llamas, VMPCRadio is pleased to bring our new replacement to our newscast lineup.
Your World Tonight (formerly known as The World at 6 and The World This Weekend) is CBC News' longest-running flagship primetime news program on radio since 1966. Following As It Happens on weeknights, Your World Tonight gives your more than 20-minutes of news and updates from Canada and the world.
Your World Tonight usually airs across Canada nightly at 6pm Eastern, except in Newfoundland where the newscast airs at 6:30pm through CBC Radio One, anchored by Susan Bonner from Mondays to Thursdays (Tuesday-Friday, PHST), and Stephanie Skenderis on weekends (Saturday-Monday, PHST).
VMPCRadio will carry the broadcast on a delayed basis as a podcast and will begin on June 3, Tuesday and airs daily at 7am PHST, back-to-back with ABC World News Tonight.
Listeners of NBC Nightly News can still follow and subscribe to the podcast for the delayed broadcast itself wherever you get your podcast.
VMPCRadio thanks all our listeners for the continued support as we celebrate our 2nd anniversary on the airwaves.
